Been checking in every day waiting for Unity 5 to finally come out? Today's the day.
Unity's latest iteration on their hit game engine has been released worldwide for game developers to get started learning the multitude of features added to the engine. However, it's not just the new features that make this release exciting, but the new pricing scheme. Indies can download the Personal Edition for free, which now includes all features of the engine, royalty free, with all platforms available for export. For those looking for a team license, the new Unity Cloud Build Pro service, analytics, or other extra add-ons to the software, they can purchase the Professional Edition, for as cheap as $75/month.
