GDC Relief Jam Starts Now

With developers still getting home, any contribution to the GDC Relief Fund goes a long way

gamedev.world's fundraising event, starting today and running until April 3rd, is also hosting a game jam, in an effort to further raise funds for the GDC Relief Fund organized by WINGS Interactive. Game developers are encouraged to create new work or submit their existing work to the jam, which will be included in a Pay-What-You-Want bundle available from March 31st to April 7th.

The GDC Relief Fund was created to assist marginalized developers after the GDC cancellation, some of which are still stranded outside of their home countries, in reimbursing fees not covered by GDC's ticket refund, including visas, lodging, and additional travel costs. With the spread of coronavirus becoming a global pandemic, it's crucial to help these developers get home safely.

For developers interested in contributing to the jam, visit the itch.io jam page for more information.
